Romanticizing an outing

We took the girls to a park this weekend for a sleigh ride.  It sounded so wonderful – which it mostly was, but I have to laugh because it was FREEZING!  I was determined to just get out of the house and do something fun.  It was so cold Bill had to wear his “serious” snow hat.

Lucy needed an extra blanket.

We had to cuddle up super close.

Bridget had to use the blanket to cover her face throughout the ride.

But I choose to remember the afternoon (or 20 minutes the whole deal actually took :)) with a little photo editing – like this ..

This is how it starts.  Moms romanticizing their children’s memories.  Like, “You never threw tantrums at the grocery store” or “I don’t remember you and your sister fighting that much”.   It’s a coping mechanism 🙂
